Access

Train

• ・From JR Shinjuku Station, take the Chuo Line Express (about 2 hours).
• ・From JR Nagoya Station, take the Chuo Line Express (about 3 hours, with transfer at JR Shiojiri Station).

Please note: there is no bus service currently operating between Kobuchizawa Station or the Kobuchizawa Bus Stop and the museum. Taxis are available.

Highway Bus

• ・From Busta Shinjuku, take the express bus (Shinjuku–Chino–Suwa–Okaya line) .
• ・From Osaka or Kyoto, take the Crystal Liner.
• ・Get off at the Kobuchizawa Bus Stop on the Chuo Expressway. From there, it’s about a 5-minute taxi ride or a 30-minute walk to the museum.

By Car

• ・About 2 hours from the Chuo Expressway Takaido IC to Kobuchizawa IC
• ・About 2.5 hours from the Chuo Expressway Komaki IC to Kobuchizawa IC
• ・6 minutes from the Kobuchizawa IC to the museum.

Visitor Guidelines

• ・ Filming, flash photography, selfie sticks, tripods, and action cameras are strictly prohibited to preserve the artworks.
• ・ Please store backpacks and large items in the coin lockers.
• ・ Pets are not allowed inside the museum. Assistance dogs are permitted.
• ・Smoking is prohibited inside and around the museum premises.
• ・ Please refrain from using any writing instruments other than pencils inside the museum.
• ・Please refrain from speaking on mobile phones inside the museum. Set them to silent mode before entering.
