本日より、第11回中村キース・ヘリング美術館国際児童絵画コンクールの受賞作品と審査員によるコメントをご紹介いたします。
We are pleased to introduce the winning artworks and comments from judges of the 11th Nakamura Keith Haring Collection International Children’s Drawing Contest.

部門１ Division I
とびちる花束 (Spattering Bouquet)
金村 果穂 Kaho Kanemura（京都/Kyoto, Japan）
紙面中央で折り畳むことで偶発的に生まれた左右対称な図柄を、ブーケのように見立てて花びらを描き足した秀逸な作品。対称性と複雑性、柔らかい面と鋭い線、偶然と恣意など、相反する事象がフラジャイルなバランスの上に成立している。
This splendid work used the accidentally made figure by folding the paper on the center as bouquet, and added more paint as flowers. Symmetry and complexity, soft flowers and sharp lines, serendipity and consciousness, are managed to be brought together on a fragile balance.
部門２ Division II
卵の中は、動いてる (Inside of an Egg is Moving)
大山 葵衣 Aoi Oyama（東京/Tokyo, Japan）
どの絵もレベルが高く１つの作品を選ぶのは難しかったが、ムーブメントというテーマに対する作品のコンセプト、画力という観点から「卵の中は、動いてる。」を選定した。小さな命の発見という作者の神秘的な体験が巧みに表現された作品は、「命の輪」という壮大なテーマを社会に投げかけているように感じられた。
First of all and after examination of every drawing, it was difficult to select only one this time because of the very high level for this range of age. The criteria were concept and technique. We chose “Inside of an Egg is Moving” for the skill and balance showed for a 11 years old child. The technique as well as the definition acquired allows him to describe his mysterious experience which is finding a small life. The concept itself, birth, involves “the circle of life” and reminds us this magnificent theme. Many drawings could be chosen but we think this one expresses very widely the concept of movement.

FREEDOM (自由)
Yanisha Chung Yan Yu（香港/Hong Kong）
キャンバスに静的な新聞記事のようなものを用いることで絵画としての動的な表現が可視化され、対比となって立ち現れている。さらにそのキャンバスには日々変化する数字が記載されており、3色で構成された抽象的な流線形のモチーフと呼応するように鑑賞者に様々な事象を想起させる。
The artwork of Yanisha Chung Yan Yu manages to move you. With limited resources: newspaper and 3 colors, the result is dynamic. The numbers on the paper represent movement as much as the labyrinth of swirls. The abstraction of those lines leaves enough room for imagination, and therefore anyone can acquire and adopt it. The flow of the painting is what attracts and continues to fascinate.
